On April 29, Mianyang Huike's 8.6th generation thin film transistor liquid crystal display device project held a light-up ceremony, which marked the official transfer of the project from the engineering construction stage to the production and operation stage.
Mianyang Huike Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. was established on June 15, 2018, jointly funded by Huike Co., Ltd., Mianyang Investment Holdings (Group) Co., Ltd., and Mianyang Fucheng Investment Group Co., Ltd. . The Mianyang Huike project has a total investment of 24 billion yuan to build the 8.6th generation thin film transistor liquid crystal display device production line.
The Mianyang Huike project was signed on April 18, 2018, and construction started on October 28 of the same year; on December 7, 2019, the project’s first exposure machine was successfully moved into the plant, marking an investment of 24 billion yuan The third panel production base of Huike, built by Yuan Jian, was officially transferred to the equipment installation and commissioning stage.
It is reported that Mianyang Huike mainly produces IPS liquid crystal panels, using A-Si/IGZO TFT IPS technology, with a design capacity of 120 thousand pieces/month and a glass substrate size of 2250mm×2600mm.
In addition, according to Mianyang Broadcasting and Television Station, while celebrating the successful lighting of Mianyang Huike's 8.6th generation thin film transistor liquid crystal display device project, a signing ceremony for Mianyang Huike supporting projects was also held. At the signing ceremony, Fucheng District and Corning Singapore Holdings Co., Ltd. signed the 'Corning Glass Substrate Project Investment Agreement'; and the Sichuan Real Estate Development and Investment Co., Ltd., signed the 'Mianyang City Fucheng Shitang Airport Project Investment Agreement.'
According to the agreement, Corning will invest in the construction of a glass substrate rear-end processing plant in the Lingang Economic Development Zone of Fucheng District to manufacture and sell glass substrates for displays. (Jiwei)
